JRC GPS-Rx CCA-191P

Some years ago I got such a GPS-rx and a pile of paper describing it. I build up a quick-and-dirty protocol converter to get the well known NMEA-format for PC-programs and to get some information on a small LCD.

This GPS-rx is now in use when I'm on the road an have my laptop with me - project finished!

But in the last month three things happened:

• I got another two of these modules
• A friend was interested in the converter and would like to have additional features
• Two HAMs asked me for the documentation

And so, my JRC-part of this site now contains a little bit more stuff:

• A (very) short description of the first project
• the specifications of the CCA-191P
• the data format or protocol coming out of the rx and
• the first ideas of the new project
